Which defenses might apply to you?
Eight questions, no names, nothing sent anywhere. The result is a reading list: the pages on this site most likely to matter for a case like yours, and the reason each one is on the list. It is not eligibility advice. Several of these forms of relief turn on facts a screener cannot ask about, and a criminal record can change every answer.

Pages worth reading for a case like yours
Each item says why it is on the list. Order is by likely relevance, not by strength. Nothing here is a finding that you qualify.
Common questions
Is anything I enter here saved or sent?
No. The screener runs entirely in your browser. There is no form submission, no cookie, and no record of your answers on our side. When you close the page, the answers are gone.
Does a result mean I am eligible?
No. It means a page is worth reading. Eligibility for every form of relief depends on facts the screener does not ask about, including the exact charges, the exact convictions, dates of entry and departure, and what has already been filed or conceded in your case. Only a lawyer who has read your file can tell you what you qualify for.
Why does it ask about criminal history?
Because it changes the list more than anything else. An aggravated felony conviction closes cancellation, asylum and voluntary departure. A crime involving moral turpitude may be waivable under 212(h) or may not. Whether a conviction counts is decided under the categorical approach, and that analysis is done by a lawyer with the certified record, not by a screener.
What should I do with the list?
Read the pages, then call. Bring the list to the conversation. It will make the first consultation faster, because you will already know the words for the things we are going to ask about.
Tell us where your case is. We will tell you what is still possible.
You get a free case review with an attorney, in your language. We speak English, Russian, Spanish and Uzbek in-house, and we bring in a live interpreter for anything else. We will tell you what stage you are at, which forms of relief are open to you, what your deadlines are, and whether we can help. If we cannot, we will say so.
